The Sunset Lakes community has many world famous attractions within easy reach. All 4 Disney Parks, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld and the Disney waterparks are all within a very short drive away and offer an abundance of fun for all members of the family. In addition Orlando has lots of other attractions such as the new Orlando Wheel, which boasts amazing views of the area. In addition please find below just a few ideas of things you can do in and around the Sunset Lakes community and the local area.
Swimming
Outside our villa there is a large pool and spa for those who enjoy swimming and a spacious decking area for those who prefer to enjoy the Florida sunshine. The community of Sunset Lakes also possesses its own communal pool which is outdoor and has sunbeds & seating and changing rooms. Why not take a stroll around the picturesque lake or take a book down to the dock and take in the peace and tranquility, which the area has to offer.
Fishing
Sunset Lakes boasts two gorgeous lakes. The lakes are stocked with wide mouth bass for the budding fisherman to enjoy. We provide a couple of fishing rods for you to use whilst you are on vacation. Similar rods and fishing equipment can be found for a very reasonable cost at nearby Walmart. Please Take Care and look out for alligators, snapping turtles and snakes all of which are prevalent in the lakes of Florida.
Golf
The Sunset Lakes community has many nearby golf courses, including 6 PGAs. For more information please ask. There are 2 crazy golf courses within 5 minutes drive away of the villa. Mighty Jungle Golf is situated on Formosa Gardens and Bonanza Golf is just on the 192 by the traffic lights.
Shopping
There are many local food shops for you to choose from nearby to the Sunset Lakes Community, some of which are open until as late as midnight. Orlando boasts 2 large shopping malls – Mall of Millenia and The Florida Mall both within around a 20 minute drive. There are also a number of outlet shopping malls in the area where you can shop for designer items for a fraction of the cost such as: Michael Kors, Guess, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Nike and many, many more.
Eating Out
Eating out in Orlando/Florida is very cost-effective and a great experience. There are an abundance of restaurants to choose from, all of which also off a good choice of child friendly menu’s. Don’t believe what you hear, America is not just about burgers and fries (although they do fabulous ones!!). Please remember that gratuity is not included on most of you restaurant food bills (checks). While tipping is not mandatory in most of the United States, it is customary in many circumstances for service, especially at almost all sit-down restaurants which offer table service and many food servers depend on tips as an essential part of their wage. Generally, the average tip is 15% to 20% of the total meal cost.

Most restaurants offer a take away or “carry out” service. You will find some menu’s in the villa. In addition there are a number of fast food take away restaurants within just a few minutes drive away situated on the Highway 192.
